Age Limit (Not Exceeding): 50 years
Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Physical Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University.
Experience: 15 years experience in R&D in Industrial/Academic Institutions and/or Science and Technology Organizations, out of which 5 years should be in administering, planning, development and coordination of R&D and related areas.
Desirable Qualifications: (a) Doctorate degree or equivalent in related subject from a recognized university. (b) Experience in conception, managementa nd implementation of major scientific or technology development programmes. (c) Published research work of high standard and/or good record of patents grated/filed. (d) Experience in technology transfer and/or implementation of industry-relevant projects.
Specific Job Requirements: The candidate will be expected to spearhead a major programme on Automotive Energy Materials being initiated by ARCI. He/she would be required to lead varied R&D activities constituting the above programme, including development of energy related magnetic materials, battery materials, shape memory alloys etc., with specific relevance to the automotive industry. As the candidate is required to initiate the above activities based on innovative processing techniques, overall familiarity with advanced techniques for nanopowder synthesis, powder compaction & sintering, thin film deposition etc., as well as for characterization and performance assessment, would be an asset. The candidate will also be responsible for demonstration, marketing and eventual transfer of technologies in the automotive sector.
* Total emoluments (as per 6th Central Pay Commission) at minimum of the basic pay/pay band, inclusive of grade pay, DA at current rates, HRA and Transport Allowance.
