Biography
Sudeep Singh is currently working as a Project Scientist-II at the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, with research carried out in collaboration with the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Hyderabad. He has also gained research experience at the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) as a Project Scientist.
His work focuses on rare-earth-based permanent magnets, particularly Nd-Fe-B systems, with an emphasis on enhancing magnetic performance through advanced processing. He has expertise in melt spinning, powder metallurgy, and spark plasma sintering (SPS), along with grain boundary diffusion (GBD) for improving coercivity and thermal stability.
His research involves tailoring microstructure and optimizing processing parameters to achieve improved functional properties. He is also experienced in advanced characterization techniques and has contributed to collaborative research projects.
His broader interests include permanent magnet development, microstructural engineering, and advanced materials for energy-efficient applications.
