Biography
Dr. Shubhendra Shivam Maurya is currently working as a Research Associate-I at ARCI Hyderabad under the guidance of G. Sivakumar, Head, Centre for Engineered Coatings (CEC). He obtained his Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Patna under the supervision of Anup Kumar Keshri. His doctoral research focused on plasma-sprayed graphene nanoplatelet (GNP)-reinforced cermet coatings, emphasizing in-situ graphene exfoliation for enhanced mechanical, tribological, and corrosion performance.
His research interests include surface engineering, thermal spray coatings, thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), nanocarbon-reinforced composite coatings, exfoliation of 2D materials, and functional coatings for extreme environments. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and contributed to sponsored research projects from DRDO and CPRI, focusing on high-performance coating solutions for energy and industrial applications.
