Biography

K. Srinivasa Rao holds a Diploma In Automobile Engineering. He has over 28 years of professional experience in maintenance of vehicles and forklifts, Motor transport section in-charge, Organisation of workshops, seminars, conferences etc., development of sol-gel based coatings for various applications.

He joined the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, in 1994, initially in the Motor transport section as in-charge. During his early tenure, he acquired extensive hands-on experience in maintenance of vehicles & forklifts, organising seminars, workshops, conferences etc over a period of nearly twenty three years.

In 2017, he joined the Centre for Sol-Gel Coatings at ARCI, where he was involved in development of various functional coatings like super hydrophobic coatings, anti-reflective coatings on polycarbonates, room temperature curable sol-gel coatings, hard coatings on plastics, scratch and abrasion resistance coatings on plastics, barrier coatings on bio-degradable containers, anti- tarnish coatings on copper etc. 

He has been actively involved in the development of various coating formulations and execution of several projects, along with two technology transfers.

Mr. K Srinivasa Rao has made research contributions, with 4 journal publications and 1 book chapters, along with 2 patents to his credit.
