B.E. (Chemical) from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, 1991
M.Tech (Bio Technology) from JNTU, Hyderabad, 1994
He has more than 31 years of professional expertise being in Research, Industry & Government in the areas: Food Processing, Biotechnology & Bio-processing, Industrial and Environmental Bio-technologies with Specializations in - IPR Management, Technology Intelligence, Forecasting, Assessment & Management, Strategic Planning & Management; New Programme Planning, Design & Development and Project Management.
EXPERIENCE AT CTAT, ARCI: Since 05 June 2025- TILL DATE
Formulated Scientist Entrepreneurship Programme Guidelines & Formats to assist ARCI Scientists in facilitating their transition to entrepreneurship roles.
- As a part of ARCI Core Organizing Team , assisted in coordinating & organizing 13 Inter Ministerial Flag-ship porgramame “ESTIC 2025†inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji, which was held during 3-5. November 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi .
EXPERIENCE AT TIFAC: AUGUST, 1995–04 June 2025
He joined TIFAC in August 1995 & under the guidance and in close interactions with Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, The then Chairman TIFAC, he coordinated Nation’s 1st long term national technology forecasting exercise "Technology Vision for India upto 2020" and follow-up actions.
Coordinated Technology Vision 2047 Roadmap for Viksit Bharat for the Nation along with Defence & Space Sectors.
During 2011-2014, he headed Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC) which supports protecting Patents & Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) emanating from Indian Academics & National R&D Institutes free of cost and trains women scientists in IPR related areas. During his tenure, he initiated many new activities of technology transfer for protected IP and new programmes and initiated IP protection of INSPIRE programme.
Co-ordinated DST Projects on Preparation of National Missions on: 1) Inter Physical Cyber Security (NM-ICPS) and 2) Quantum Technologies & Applications (NM-QTA). Also coordinated Horizon Scanning Unit activities, Impact Assessment Study of TIFAC Reports, Special report on Chemicals & Petrochemicals.
Advisor, Innovation Councils & Mentor for Many Innovation Start-Ups in Individual capacity.
- Delivered more than 100 lectures on the topics of his expertise at various International, National, Business fora.
Apart from this, he is interested in promoting environmental friendly chemical technologies, Rapid Urban Afforestation, Gainful utilisation/reduction of CO2 & Process optimisation of Bio Hydrogen production, home waste to green gold campaign etc.
FOREIGN ASSIGNMENTS: Widely travelled across the globe viz., China, Hong Kong, South Africa, USA., UK, Turkey to name a few.
- SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:- He is actively involved in several social, cultural & environmental activities supporting economically weak bright students upto higher secondary school.
